These papers relate to Western lands leases principally in the administrative district of Hillston and Bourke. In most cases, the leases have been surveyed by Alan Price Lipscomb, a surveyor for the district of Hillston. The papers comprise copies of letters sent to the Western Lands Commissioner; letters received by Surveyor Lipscomb; copies of Government Gazette notices relating to the lease in question; notices regarding the improvement of leases; tracing and sketches of the area and other administrative notes.
