The objective of the study focuses on the characterization of the nasal microbiome of apparently healthy and BRD-affected pen-mates beef calves collected from a beef farm in Indiana. For the nasal microbiome analysis, the region V4 of the 16S rRNA gene was amplified and sequenced using Illumina MiSeq Sequencer. Additional samples included in the analysis are available in the BioProject PRJNA746809.
