Background: Weight misperception (WM) is common among individuals with obesity and may influence obesity management strategies. However, determinants of WM have not been well characterized at a national level. This study aimed to evaluate the prevalence and determinants of WM among adults with obesity in Türkiye. Methods: DAHUDER (Turkish Association of Internists) obesity study group conducted the nationwide cross-sectional study between January and March 2026. Weight perception was assessed using a figure rating scale and categorized as appropriate perception (AP), weight underestimation (WU), or weight overestimation (WO) according to the discrepancy between perceived and actual body size. Demographics, anthropometrics, comorbidities, and social determinants of health were recorded. Independent predictors of WM were analyzed. Results: 3642 participants were included from 21 centers.
