As described in the paper "Generic Aversion and Observational Learning in the Over-the-Counter Drug Market," the authors conducted labeling interventions in six Northern California stores belonging to a national retailer. The labeling interventions were designed to test three hypotheses for consumer aversion to generic over the counter (OTC) drugs. The data and do-files in this deposit enable replication of the analyses in the paper, which uses a difference-in-differences strategy to estimate the impacts of each of three labeling tests on generic purchasing of OTC drugs.
