These files are part of the dataset \"Historical built-up property locations (BUPL) gridded surfaces for the U.S. from 1810 to 2020\", contained in the dataverse “HISDAC-US: Historical Settlement Data Compilation for the United States” (https://dataverse.harvard.edu/dataverse/hisdacus). The *.tar.gz archive contains a time series of geospatial raster layers with pixel values representing the number of unique locations of built-up property records, at 250m spatial resolution and 5 years temporal resolution.
