Transcriptome sequencing of Orthoptera

Orthoptera is rich in species, numerous lineages and solid taxonomic foundation. However, due to the conflicting classification schemes caused by different interpretations of morphological characteristics, and the limitations of sporadic taxa and a small amount of gene sampling in molecular phylogenetic research, a robust phylogeny of Orthoptera has not been established. Therefore, we performed transcriptome sequencing of a large number of Orthoptera species, and construct robust Orthoptera phylogenetic tree through these transcriptome data.
