Dataset of Older Adults' Internet Addiction Cases and Related Expert Opinions during 2019-2022

This dataset contains 50 cases of internet addiction among the older adults and 25 expert opinions data, which are derived from public news and related reports published on media networks. The data of elderly internet addiction cases include case content, basic information, case source, disclosure person and disclosure time, etc. The disclosure time span is from May 2019 to February 2022; Expert opinion data includes expert comment content, comment object, comment time, data source, etc. The reporting time span is from June 2021 to June 2022. This dataset aims to systematically study the influencing factors, behavioral characteristics, adverse consequences, and coping strategies of internet addiction among the older adults through qualitative research methods of grounded theory.
