Kinematic recordings from Experiment 1.

This dataset is provided as a Matlab Mat-file containing 17 cells, one per participant. Each cell is organized in a structure with conditions→targets→trials format, where there are two conditions (“Natural” and “Viscous”) and three targets (Target 1, 2, and 3). The number of trials for each target might vary as we removed those which had recording issues. Each trail provides joint position, joint velocities, and end-effector velocities. These quantities are stored in 100×4 matrices; 100 time-steps with dt = 0.009, and 4 degrees of freedom. Moreover, the Jacobian matrix for each time step can be found for each trial. Furthermore, in this dataset, we provide some of the quantities which are computed using the proposed algorithm; i.e., estimated IK weights for each participant, the estimated null-space velocities based on W = I, and estimated weights for each trial. Moreover, we provide the concatenated data (over targets and trials) for each condition as “IK_data” which is ready to be passed to the proposed algorithm.
