De-identified dataset and analysis materials for "Effects of indoor exercise intensity on spherical equivalent refraction among Chinese Grade 3–4 primary school children: a one-year randomized controlled trial"

This record contains the de-identified participant-level dataset and supporting materials from a one-year randomized controlled trial investigating the effects of indoor exercise intensity on spherical equivalent refraction (SER) among Chinese Grade 3–4 primary school children. A total of 175 participants were included in the study and allocated to three intervention conditions: control, low-intensity exercise, and moderate-to-vigorous exercise. The dataset includes participant characteristics, intervention group, baseline visual status, baseline SER, post-intervention SER, and change in SER. All participant data were de-identified prior to deposition. Direct personal identifiers and potentially identifying source codes were removed, and participants are represented using newly generated anonymous study IDs. The deposited materials include: a de-identified participant-level dataset in CSV format; an Excel version of the dataset with a data dictionary; a README file describing the dataset, variables, coding, and data-use information. These data support the manuscript entitled “Effects of indoor exercise intensity on spherical equivalent refraction among Chinese Grade 3–4 primary school children: a one-year randomized controlled trial.” The de-identified dataset is publicly available to support transparency, reproducibility, and secondary research use.
