Extensive Urban Survey - South Gloucestershire

This archive concerns areas of archaeological and historic importance in seven urban areas in South Gloucestershire: Chipping Sodbury, Hawkesbury Upton, Filton, Kingswood and Mangotsfield, Marshfield, Thornbury and Wickwar. The management approach adopted has been developed as a result of detailed desk-based assessments initially commissioned by English Heritage and carried out between 1995 and 1998. Filton was added in 2000. Copies of the assessment reports are available in local libraries, Gloucestershire Record Office the National Monuments Record and the Sites and Monuments Record for South Gloucestershire.
