Innovative Microbial Control Strategy Leveraging Prebiotic Synergists for Improved Disease Prevention by Bacillus subtilis

Fusarium wilt of banana, a devastating soil borne disease, gravely challenges sustainable agriculture. Despite the potential of Bacillus subtilis R31 in microbial control, environmental fluctuations and erratic colonization impede its effectiveness. This study proves that sodium alginate, as a prebiotic synergist, augments R31's biocontrol against fusarium wilt.
