Carbon Emission Per Unit Electricity Generated by Thermal Plants

This dataset is the collection and integration of thermal power plants' raw data across different regions, including the North, South, West, and East of India. The authentic source of the raw data is the National Power Portal, which provides official statistics on electricity generation and emissions.
The presented dataset provides information on carbon dioxide (CO₂) emissions and CO₂ emissions per unit of electricity generated by thermal power plants based on daily electricity (DE) and daily coal (DC) generation parameters.
This dataset can be effectively used to analyze regional variations in CO₂ emissions from thermal power generation and to develop and validate regression models for predicting CO₂ emissions per unit of electricity that could support studies related to carbon credit exchanges, policy design, and sustainable energy planning.
By making this dataset openly available, we aim to contribute to research in environmental science, energy, and engineering, while encouraging data-driven approaches to predict the carbon credits earned by electricity generation in different regions of India.
