Metformin effect on microbiota of mice infected with H. pylori

The aim of this study was to describe the effects of metformin on the gut microbiota in H. pylori-infected mice. We studied metformin-induced changes in the composition and metabolic functions of the gut microbiota in three different digestive sites (stool, cecal and intestinal contents), in mice infected with H. pylori that were treated with either metformin or phosphate-buffered saline (PBS) as a control.
