海冰密集度是指一定海面范围内,被海冰覆盖的面积比例。海冰厚度即为平整海冰的厚度。由于海冰影响着大气与海洋之间的热量与能量交换,同时,南大洋海冰影响着南极底层水的形成,因此对南大洋海冰进行走航观测具有重要科学价值。 本数据为中国第33次南极科学考察走航海冰密集度与海冰厚度观测数据,对了解南大洋海冰分布,以及南大洋海冰卫星遥感算法的验证与标定具有重要意义。 1.测量仪器 ①仪器名称:高清摄像机 ②仪器型号:TC-RZ516 2.观测方法和所获观测资料 2016年11月27日-2017年3月9日,通过高清摄像机,记录海面海冰分布情况,以及“雪龙”号考察船侧海冰翻转过程,分别获得海冰密集度与海冰厚度走航观测数据。 3.观测区域 本航次考察海区为南大洋。

Sea ice concentration refers to the proportion of the sea surface area covered by sea ice within a given sea area. Sea ice thickness refers to the thickness of level sea ice. As sea ice affects the heat and energy exchange between the atmosphere and the ocean, and sea ice in the Southern Ocean also influences the formation of Antarctic Bottom Water, conducting underway observations of Southern Ocean sea ice has important scientific value. This dataset contains underway observation data of sea ice concentration and sea ice thickness collected during China's 33rd Antarctic Scientific Expedition, which is of great significance for understanding the sea ice distribution in the Southern Ocean and for validating and calibrating satellite remote sensing algorithms for Southern Ocean sea ice. 1. Measuring Instruments ① Instrument Name: High-definition Camera ② Instrument Model: TC-RZ516 2. Observation Methods and Acquired Observation Data From November 27, 2016 to March 9, 2017, high-definition cameras were used to record the sea ice distribution on the sea surface and the sea ice overturning process alongside the research vessel Xuelong, thereby obtaining underway observation data of sea ice concentration and sea ice thickness respectively. 3. Observation Area The survey sea area of this voyage is the Southern Ocean.
