资源简介:
Spot blotch caused by Bipolaris sorokiniana is an economically important disease in wheat worldwide, causing considerable yield losses of up to 70 per cent under suitable climatic conditions and reduced grain quality in susceptible genotypes in warm and humid agro-ecologies of the world. In wheat, barley, maize and other small grain cereals, Bipolaris sorokiniana Sacc. Shoemakers are important fungal pathogens that cause many diseases, such as spot blotch, common root rot, and leaf spot. The generic name Bipolaris was first used in 1959 for species of Helminthosporium, with fusoid conidia displaying bipolar germination; species B. maydis typified the genus. Different Bipolaris species, including B. sorokiniana, are distinguished based on conidia and conidiophore morphology. A key was prepared for this reason, with a description of all species of bipolaris. The conidia 15-20 um, 60-120 um born on conidiophores100-150 um, 6-8 um long emerge on the leaf surface in the air. Each conidiophore may carry a single conidium monosporic or multiple conidia, polysporic. These conidia are olive-brown in colour, oblong in form, and have a 3-9 um thick-walled septate tapered with a conspicuous basal scar towards the edge. Generally, during the cropping season, many conidial cycles are produced and spread into the air, causing secondary infections. This project focuses on the genome sequencing and comparison of the Bipolaris species, effector prediction, and transcriptome analysis in the wheat-Bipolaris sorokiniana pathosystem.
