The dataset includes codes (inductive coding) accompanied by quotes derived from the interview transcripts, highlighting the insights and perspectives obtained from the analysis. Researchers and interested individuals can utilise this comprehensive dataset to gain a deeper understanding of the complex decision-making process. By examining the interview transcripts, potential researchers can explore the diverse perspectives and experiences of local speech-language therapists related to feeding tube placement in people with advanced dementia. Table 1 provides valuable demographic information about the participants, such as age, gender, and professional experience. The reflexive inductive thematic analysis approach employed in this study allowed for the identification of key themes and sub-themes (Table 2), shedding light on the various factors and considerations involved in these complex decisions.
