The sustainable development of STEAM education has an important influence on the promotion of reform and innovation in the field of primary education. To explore the impact of intelligent robots on the sustainable development of STEAM education, this study developed and applied a STEAM course with the theme of intelligent educational robots, and then surveyed 474 primary students who had taken this course. Results showed that hands-on was found to be a predictor to minds-on and minds-on had significant effects on hearts-on. Interestingly, while the personal operation of intelligent robots by student had a positive effect on stimulating minds-on thinking, it had no significant direct effect on promoting minds-on participation. This study suggested that teachers should pay attention to giving students appropriate teaching guidance based on students' hands-on operation, and provide them with some support strategies that can organize learning resources flexibly and participate in deep learning, so as to inspire their hearts-on ex-perience and improve the sustainable development of STEAM education.
STEAM教育(STEAM education)的可持续发展对于推动小学教育领域的改革创新具有重要意义。为探究智能机器人对STEAM教育可持续发展的影响,本研究开发并应用了以智能教育机器人为主题的STEAM课程,并对474名修读过该课程的小学生开展了调研。结果显示,动手实践(hands-on)可作为心智投入(minds-on)的预测变量,且心智投入对情感投入(hearts-on)具有显著正向影响。值得注意的是,学生自主操作智能机器人,虽对激发心智投入式思考具有正向促进作用,但对提升心智参与度无显著直接影响。本研究建议教师应基于学生的动手操作情况给予适配的教学指导,并提供可灵活组织学习资源、助力学生开展深度学习的支持策略,以此激发学生的情感投入体验,提升STEAM教育的可持续发展水平。
