资源简介:
FILE DESCRIPTION Keywords: Gunnison's prairie dogs, focal samples for male-32 and female-BS Filename = Fig 7.2, Focal and scan samples for individual GPDs, Date = 05 Nov 2025 These data come directly from Ian Hirschler, probably in early May 2015 FPA = Information from single FOCAL sample per day IPA =mean of several instantaneous SCAN samples on single day, with one IPA per day. Dog = GPD marker in 2014 Date = Date of FPA or IPA I have not altered these data from Ian Hirschler in any way. I used these data for GPD-male 32 in Fig 7.2 (N = 32 focal samples) and for GPD-female BS in Fig 7.2 of Hoogland 2026 (N = 21 focal samples) I also used these data for GPD-male 03 in Fig 7.2 (N = 31 days of scan samples) and for GPD-female RSBB in Fig 7.2 of Hoogland 2026 (N = 29 days of scan samples) Note that the data in this file is for overall mean PROPORTIONS. To convert to overall mean PERCENTAGES for Figs 7.1 and 7.2, I multiple proportions by 100. Ian checked all these data TWO TIMES before publication of Hirschler et al. 2016, for which the citation is Hirschler, I. M., J. L. Gedert, J. Major, T. Townsend, J. L. Hoogland. 2016. What is the best way to estimate vigilance? What is the best way to estimate vigilance? A comparison of two methods for Gunnison’s prairie dogs (Cynomys gunnisoni). Animal Behaviour 121: 117-122. Filename = Fig 7.2, Focal and scan samples for individual GPDs, Date = 05 Nov 2025 Note that the data in this file are PROPORTIONS. To convert proportions to PERCENTAGES for Figs 7.1 and 7.2, I multiplied proportions by 100.
