The Golden Arrow Poison Frog (Phyllobates terribilis) is a species of poison frog native to the rainforests along the Pacific coast of Colombia. It stands out as a comparative species among poison frogs, notable for its color variation, behavioral plasticity, and toxin-sequestering capabilities. The goal of this project is to produce a high-quality annotated reference genome for P. terribilis, which will greatly facilitate evolutionary, genetic, molecular, and developmental research on this and other amphibian species.
