The PERUSANO study: participatory design idea generation workshop dataset

​​​​The dataset contains pictures and notes of the collected ideas generated by caregivers and healthcare professionals during four ideation workshops conducted in Manchay, Lima (two workshops) and Huánuco (two workshops) in Peru.
The ideation workshops were part of a series of participatory co-design workshops conducted from June to October 2022. Each workshop had between 8-12 participants who then worked in groups of 3-5 people with members of the research team. In workshops, participants used context-specific design cards provided by the research team to facilitate the generation of ideas.
The notes were generated during the workshops by participants. Notes and text in the dataset are in Spanish language with some terms in English language.
Co-design outputs were created as part of a wider interdisciplinary project (PERUSANO study) which aimed to address multiple forms of malnutrition, particularly stunting, anaemia, and risk of overweight/obesity in Peruvian infants and young children aged 6-23 months old. The study took place in two peri-urban areas in Peru: Manchay in Lima and Huánuco district in the Andean highlands.
