This dataset contains entomological surveillance data on Aedes aegypti abundance collected from rural and urban communities in District III of Managua, Nicaragua, between 2022 and 2023. The study evaluates mosquito distribution across different seasons and environmental settings, focusing on vector density, entomological indices, and productive breeding containers. These data contribute to understanding Aedes aegypti population dynamics in both urban and rural environments, challenging conventional views of urban dominance and informing targeted vector control interventions.
