Unclassified single-stranded DNA from meteorite-enriched cultures reveals genomic dark matter elements
收藏资源简介:
This dataset contains 22 unique single-stranded DNA (ssDNA) sequences obtained from microbial cultures treated with meteorite-derived minerals, as described in the manuscript: *Unclassified single-stranded DNA from meteorite-enriched cultures reveals genomic dark matter elements* (submitted to Scientific Reports). The sequences were recovered via metagenomic assembly from ultra-low input DNA and exhibit no homology to known reference genomes. All contigs share a highly conserved C/T-rich 30-bp motif and fold into stable stem-loop secondary structures, consistent with genomic dark matter elements. Files included:- MT_SEQ_ONES.fasta — FASTA file containing 22 ssDNA sequences.- Assembly_Metadata.tsv — Metadata table (coverage, assembler, molecule type).- Readme.txt — Full dataset description and contact information. Assemblers used: MEGAHIT v1.2.9, SPAdes v3.15.5, IDBA-UD v1.1.3-7.
