Phermone_detection_in_the_main_olfactory_system

Here I propose to identify transcriptional differences, by RNA sequencing using the Illumina platform, between the main olfactory epithelium from male and female mice. The transcriptome will be sequenced from 3 adult male and 3 adult female mice, and analyzed for both transcript abundance and sex-specific isoforms. The analysis will be primarily focused on the sensory receptors and molecular transduction machinery implicated in pheromone detection.
