资源简介:
These SPSS datasets looks at the relationship between components of self-determination, intrinsic motivation and basic need satisfaction, and positive personality characteristics.
Positive affect was measured as it was hypothesised that it was mediator in these relationships. Participants completed the questionnaires online, were over from Australia and over 18 and from first year psychology classes and/or Qualtrics panels.
In the first data set we measured intrinsic motivation, positive affect, and positive personality characteristics of self-compassion, empathy, self-efficacy, emotional intelligence, and character strengths using likert scales. Intrinsic motivation was then primed and positive affect and a select positive personality characteristic, self-compassion, was measured.
In the second data set we measured and basic needs satisfaction, positive affect, and positive personality characteristics of self-compassion, empathy, self-efficacy, emotional intelligence, and character strengths using Likert scales. Basic needs satisfaction was then primed and positive affect and a select positive personality characteristic, self-efficacy, was measured. The resultant data sets suggested that greater self-determination, represented by intrinsic motivation and basic needs satisfaction, is related to a higher level of positive personality characteristics, and that positive affect is a mediator in this relationship.
