Disparities in colorectal cancer mortality across Brazilian States

ABSTRACT: Objective: To analyze the trend of colorectal cancer mortality adjusted for selected indicators, according to sex, by Brazilian federative units and regions, and countrywide from 1996 to 2012. Methods: This is a temporal time series on colorectal cancer mortality rates, using linear regression analysis, in which the independent variable was the centered year. Models were adjusted for selected indicators. Results: There was an increase in standardized colorectal cancer mortality rates for males in all states and for females in 21 states.
