Vehicle-pedestrian interaction data

In the city of Győr, Hungary, an unsignalized pedestrian crossing was chosen to record video of pedestrian-vehicle interactions. This zebra crossing is situated in front of a primary school at coordinates 47°40'46.5"N 17°38'18.6"E. The pedestrian crossing, which has a refuge island, is on a two-lane road. The video recordings were captured using a Hikvision camera installed at a height of 3 meters, with a 180° wide field of view, and mounted on a light pole above the pedestrian crossing, capturing both traffic lanes. The recording campaign was conducted over approximately six weeks between May and July in 2021 on weekdays during the morning peak period (06:00–09:00) and the afternoon peak period (14:00–17:00). 32 days. Video recordings of 164 hours were examined through the TrafxSAFE software developed by Transoft Solutions. The dataset contains safety indicators such as PET and conflict speed.
