PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a waste paper pulp from a waste paper pulp raw material containing waste paper including gypsum and a waste paper pulp thereof. SOLUTION: The manufacturing method of a waste paper pulp includes: a disintegration step for preparing a slurry by blending a waste paper pulp raw material 11 including 0.1-10 mass% of a waste paper containing a gypsum component; a coarse selection step for obtaining a first residue by separating heavy foreign matters included in the slurry based on specific gravity difference; and a precision selection step for obtaining a second residue by separating large foreign matters included in the first residue based on size standard; wherein the disintegration step is characterized by adding an ion sequestering agent and blending at a temperature lower than 50°C.
