Transcriptional analysis of differential immune and inflammatory responses to Sarcoptes scabiei infestation in a porcine model

Transriptomic analysis of the skin immune response to Sarcoptes scabiei infestation in pigs with different clinical manifestations of scabies. Four biological replicates each from non-infested control, ordinary scabies and crusted scabies were compared by microarray at baseline week 0, and at weeks 1, 2, 4 and 8 post-infestation. The Agilent A-GEOD-10162 Porcine Gene Expression Microarray 4 x 44K was used. Gene lists were generated following array QC, normalisation and two way ANOVA comparing CS vs OS, CS vs control and OS vs control groups.
