Lasofoxifene as a potential treatment for aromatase inhibitor-resistant ER-positive breast cancer

MCF7 LTLT cells (also known as LTLT-Ca cells) were a kind gift from Dr. Ganesh Raj at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, and were originally derived from long-term, letrozole-treated MCF7 cells. To determine if any estrogen receptor (ER) mutations were present in MCF7 LTLT cells, whole genome sequencing (30X coverage) was carried out on the Illumina NextSeq500 platform by the University of Illinois at Chicago Genome Research Core. Although a number of genetic variants were observed compared to two MCF7 reference genomes (SRX7658479 and SRX513539), no ER mutations were detected.
