Clean sequence reads of Streptopelia chinensis

The Spotted dove (Streptopelia chinensis) is a member of the bird family Streptopelia (Columbiformes: Columbidae ) which observed across a widely-distributed geographical range in Southeast Asia. The distribution varies among different geographical subspecies.The species has been listed in the species of terrestrial wildlife which are beneficial or of important economic or scientific value by the State Forestry Administration and evaluated as Least Concern by IUCN (International Union for Conservation of Nature). It has been the focus of a large number of ecological, behavioural and genetic studies. Here, we assembled and generated a high-quality de novo genome of the Streptopelia chinensis to provide reference genome for further population genetics and genomic studies.
