Due to global warming and complex glacial dynamic processes, glaciers in the Svalbard Archipelago are rapidly retreating. Regular updates of glacier boundaries are required to acquire dynamic change patterns and provide basic data support for sea level rise projections. Therefore, using Landsat series remote sensing images as the primary data source and adopting a semi-automated glacial mapping method, glacier inventory products of the Svalbard Archipelago across three periods (SGI-1990s, SIG-2000s, SGI-...) were produced.
