KAPPA Arc — Reproduced Validation Data for Paper 3 Self-Containment: Cortes de Pallás, Saudi RCD_PLO Campaign, and Tropical Radiosonde Comparisons
收藏资源简介:
Supporting data for Beyond ERA5: Data Source Limitations and Enhancement Pathways for Real-Time Geodetic Atmospheric Refraction Correction (Alkalali, K.Z.A., manuscript GEOG-D-26-00124, under review, Geodesy and Geodynamics). This deposit reproduces three validation results discussed in the manuscript — the Cortes de Pallás monitoring-network computation, the Saudi RCD_PLO nine-date campaign validation, and the six-comparison tropical radiosonde validation — which were originally computed as part of two companion manuscripts in the same research series. Following editorial guidance that citations to those companion manuscripts were not suitable (one remains under review and unaccepted; the other was rejected under its original title and manuscript number before being reformatted and resubmitted elsewhere), the underlying data for these three results is archived here independently, so the citing manuscript's figures are verifiable without depending on any companion manuscript's status. Files: 01_cortes_de_pallas.json (ERA5-derived κ for the two Cortes de Pallás campaign dates studied by Luján et al. 2025); 02_saudi_riyadh_campaign.json (nine-date ERA5-derived κ validation against RCD_PLO field measurements, Riyadh corridor, June–August 2012); 03_tropical_radiosonde.json (six-comparison ERA5-derived κ against IGRA2 radiosonde-derived κ at three tropical stations, mean gap 16.8%); README.md (full method, primary-source citations, and correction provenance). Method: Smith–Weintraub refractivity (N = 77.6·P/T + 3.73×10⁵·e/T²) from ERA5 137-level reanalysis; ordinary least-squares regression of N against geometric altitude; κ = −R_Earth·(dN/dz)·10⁻⁶, R_Earth = 6,371,000 m — identical throughout this paper series. This is a reproduction/archival deposit, not a new field campaign; no new atmospheric computation was performed beyond what the citing manuscript's own Section 2 methodology describes.
