资源简介:
Methane is essential for aerobic methanotrophs, which are bacteria that consume methane. We investigated how different levels of methane in the soil affect these bacteria and their interactions. Using a special technique called stable isotope probing, we tracked the movement of methane in the soil and found that methanotrophs play a significant role in increasing the overall carbon content. This means they contribute to the food web in the soil. We also discovered that the amount of methane in the soil influences the types of bacteria present and how they interact with each other. Moderate methane levels resulted in a more complex and connected bacterial community. In conclusion, our research shows that methanotrophs are important for the carbon cycle in soil, and the amount of methane present affects the soil's bacterial community and interactions. Understanding these processes can help us better manage and protect our soil ecosystems.
