Allergic diseases in Puebla City

An observational, cross-sectional, descriptive, and retrospective study was carried out. The records of patients who underwent a skin prick test with 45 aeroallergens in an allergic disease clinic at "Hospital Ángeles Puebla", in the period from January 2016 to August 2021, were reviewed individually. Pediatric and adult patients were included. All tests were executed and interpreted by a pediatric allergist and immunologist. We aimed to describe the sensitization pattern in a Mexican population with allergic conjunctivitis in the last five years. We included age, sex, patient allergic disease (asthma, rhinitis, conjunctivitis, dermatitis and urticaria) and the aeroallergen to which the patient was sensitized, in case the skin prick test was negative the presumptive diagnosis was recorded in a separate column.
