资源简介:
The dataset contains data used in the article Economic Man and Behavioral Research Assumptions in Economics. This empirical study investigates the ongoing relevance of the homo oeconomicus (HOE) model – an idealized, rational, and self-interested economic agent – in contemporary economic research and teaching. The study explores the frequency with which five core HOE dimensions are employed as assumptions: pursuit of economic benefit, consistent preferences, absence of cognitive limitations, optimization, and self-interest. The data comes from a representative survey conducted in October-November 2024, involving 378 respondents - researchers conducting research in economics in Poland.
