The raw fastq data used to assemble the genome of an alpine butterfly Parnassius epaphus. Oxford Nanopore Technologies (ONT) sequencing was performed at HaoRui genomics Bio-Tech (Xi'an, China) using a GridION X5 sequencer. High molecular weight DNA was prepared using the SQK-LSK109 ligation sequencing kit following the manufacturer's instructions.
