This dataset supports the study of pectinase- and tannic-acid-assisted pretreatment for improving the penetration and fixation of Cinnamomum camphor fruit extract in fast-growing wood. The data include raw and processed experimental results from single-factor and orthogonal optimization experiments, wood dyeing performance measurements, color parameters, color strength (K/S), total color difference (ΔE), and lightfastness evaluation after accelerated UV irradiation. The dataset also contains characterization data used to investigate the mechanism of pretreatment, including morphological and spectroscopic analyses. These data were collected to evaluate how enzymatic microstructural degradation and tannic-acid-mediated bio-mordanting influence pigment diffusion, fixation, and color stability in poplar and Chinese fir. The dataset may be useful for researchers working on natural dyeing, wood modification, bio-based pretreatment, and sustainable functional wood processing.
