Digital Archive from an Archaeological Watching Brief at Linton Farm, Over, Gloucestershire, February 2024

Thie collection consists of images, spreadsheets and GIS data from an archaeological watching brief by Worcestershire Archaeology. Work occurred at Linton Farm, Over, Gloucestershire, in February 2024. The geotechnical trial pits recorded the presence of buried archaeological remains in several of the trenches, including a possible surface and a stone wall, with some deposits, including buried soils or 'dark-earth' hinting at a more complex stratigraphic sequence in places. the watching brief broadly supports the results of the previous evaluation undertaken at the site, and significantly, the presence of archaeological features not initially indicated by geophysical anomalies hints at the potential for a higher concentration of archaeology than initially represented by the survey.
