Data Repository Description

This repository contains transportation sector data for Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Guatemala, Mexico, Panama, Dominican Republic, and Uruguay. It includes the number of registered vehicles segmented by type and technology, capital cost in USD per vehicle, maintenance cost in USD per 1,000 km, efficiency, and load factors of various transportation modes. The data was collected from various institutions and consulting firms, and the figures for Argentina, Chile, Mexico, and Brazil are estimates made using Python.

How to Open a .BACPAC File in SQL Server

To open a .bacpac file in SQL Server:

Open SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) and connect to your server.

Right-click on 'Databases' in the Object Explorer and select 'Import Data-tier Application...'.

Follow the wizard to locate your .bacpac file and set your import options.

Complete the wizard to deploy your database from the .bacpac file.
