16S rRNA sequencing of microbiota from antibiotics treated C57BL/6 mice

Antibiotic-induced disruptions of the gut microbiota have been linked to behavioral alterations, but the mechanisms underlying these effects remain poorly understood. The current study investigates effects of antibiotic teatment on social behavior in mice. C57BL/6 male mice were treated with following antibiotics: vancomycin (V), rifampicin (R), and vancomycin + rifampicin (VR) and behavioral tests including social communication were performed.
