This series was created by the Traffic Branch and recorded all reported railway accidents involving trains and action taken. The Register recorded details including:- Date of accident- Place of accident- Type of Accident (Different alpha codes were used, eg. F (Persons falling from trains), X (Level Crossing Accidents), C (Cattle Struck by trains), P (Persons struck by trains), M (Miscellaneous), S (shunting operations).- Any statement of the driver received- Action taken (forwarded to the Claims Agent for compensation payment).For records of compensation payment created by the Claims Branch, refer to VPRS 13531
