资源简介:
Background: The purpose of this study was to strengthen COVID-19 testing strategies for Latinx and Marshallese communities in Northwest Arkansas, which experienced significant disparities during the pandemic. The aims were based on recommendations from the Community and Scientific Advisory Board, which helped identify testing barriers and priorities for these populations.
Materials/Methods: The study used a community-based participatory research approach guided by the Social Ecological Model to ensure that testing strategies aligned with community needs. The study implemented and evaluated two community-driven testing approaches to compare access and uptake among vulnerable populations. The work included full collaboration with the RADx-UP Coordinating and Data Collection Center and other RADx-UP sites to support harmonized processes, data sharing, and evaluation.
Outcome/Impact: The study improved understanding of effective community-led testing strategies for Latinx and Marshallese communities and strengthened local capacity for future vaccination trials. Findings informed ongoing efforts to increase equitable testing access and supported broader RADx-UP goals through coordinated cross-site collaboration.
