Transcript replication proteins are critical for plastome replication in all plants, however there has been no large-scale analysis in grasses. High depth transcriptome datasets were used to assemble these proteins in sugarcane cultivar SP80-3280. Primers were designed and the corresponding transcripts were sequenced with MinION in sugarcane cultivar N22. For the phylogeny of single strand DNA binding proteins the transcripts were assembled in Azolla filiculoides prior to sequencing.
