In swine production, medicated feed has been one of the main strategies to control the occurrence of Streptococcus suis. One approach to avoid metaphylaxis is to supplement the feed with additives during the post-weaning period to improve health status. In a farm presenting clinical sings of S. suis in the nursery phase, 569 piglets were divided into 5 groups and fed non-supplemented feed or the same feed supplemented and the nasal and faecal microbiota were analyzed.
