Beyond the uniform: uncovering structural complexity within Adélie penguin colonies.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
This repository contains the data and R scripts used to analyse the spatial organisation, individual territory geometry, and topographic context of Adélie penguin (Pygoscelis adeliae) colonies.
The analytical workflow is divided into two main steps:
(1) voronoi_topography_colonialV2.R : Spatial and topographic processing of nest coordinates to delineate subcolonies and individual breeding territories and extract environmental variables. High-resolution DEMs used in the study are available upon request from the author. Users do not need these DEMs to reproduce the statistical analyses or use the provided subcolony_structure_and_territory_dataset.csv file. This script is provided for transparency and methodological documentation.

(2) analysis_modelisationV2.R : Statistical analyses and modelling of territory size and shape using the final processed dataset. To facilitate reuse and reproducibility, the final processed dataset is provided directly. Users are therefore not required to rerun the spatial processing pipeline in order to reproduce the statistical analyses presented in the associated manuscript.
