资源简介:
Acromelanism is a rare form of albinism observed in vertebrate species. In mammals, acromelanism is caused by mutations in tyrosinase that induce a temperature-sensitive synthesis of melanin pigmentation, resulting in a characteristic coat-color gradient. Acromelanism has also been reported in domesticated canaries, known as "Pearl", though its genetic basis remains enigmatic. This study aimed to identify the genetic basis of the "Pearl" canary breed and understand if it shares a similar molecular mechanism to that of mammals.
