The Australasian Cinema newspaper was a trade paper that was in existence from the 1970s-1980s. This paper was an important publication for cinema exhibitors and distributors to get timely information about what was going on within the Australian film industry. The AFI Research Collection has been working on creating an index of this newspaper as it is felt that much of the data within the paper could be used as a tool to better understand the Australian film industry during this time period.
