Master thesis title: <em style="background-color:rgb(255, 250, 234);">Green roofs cooling performance in heat-stress prone neighborhoods under future climate projections</em>Supervisor:<em> </em>Lixia Chu (Urban Systems Engineering)Co-supervisor: Gert-Jan Steeneveld(Meteorology and Air Quality)<br>This research aims to understand the effect of green roofs on outdoor human thermal comfort and their cooling performance under future climate projections in Amsterdam's heat-stress-prone neighborhoods. The analysis uses the 3D-microscale ENVI-met software (V5.7) which helps to quantify the thermal benefits of implementing green roofs.The spatial setup was created using the Geodata to ENVI-met plugin in QGIS. The following documents contain two different spatial setups for the Anjelierstraat neighborhood: one with green roofs and one without. This neighborhood was selected due to its high heat stress, roof characteristics, and proximity to a weather station. Detailed information about the data sources and model setup can be found in the README document.
