Molecular data accompanying the paper "Phylogenetic position and mitochondrial genome evolution of ‘orphan’ eukaryotic lineages"

We have characterized a new species of protist belonging to the telonemids group, Microkorses curacao sp. nov. We inferred its phylogenetic position in the tree of telonemids based on SSU rRNA gene sequences. This analysis can be replicated with the alignments provided here. We also obtained its mitochondrial genome sequence, provided here in the .gb format. Finally, we placed the species in the phylogenetic tree of all eukaryotes using a multi-gene alignment, also provided here.
