The data set includes three tables and one additional clast count. The
analyse were carried out on sediment cores raised on the Wilkes Land
continental margin, East Antarctica. Tables are as follows:
Table 1: Location, water depth, and length of the sediment cores
studied;
Table 2: Results of diatom analyses in Cores DF79-13 and
DF79-15;
Table 3: Percentages of biogenic opal in Cores DF79-01, DF79-02 and
ELT37-7.
These tables are part of a manuscript submitted to Deep-Sea Research
II, entitled: "Sediment Distribution and Sedimentary Processes Across
the Antarctic Wilkes Land Margin during the Quaternary" by C. Escutia,
D. Warnke, G.D. Acton, A. Barcena, L. Burckle, M. Canals, and
C. Stanton Frazee. Expected date of publication: latter half of 2003.
The clast count is in xls and txt format (fname WilkesLandIRD) and is
available immediately from CaSUH.
The analyses were carried out as part of a larger study to determine
sedimentary processes across the Wilkes Land Margin durin
glacial/interglacial cycles during the late Quaternary. Details are
provided in the above cited publication.
